Everyone wants a good skin care tip. Here’s one about water.

We’ve written before about the importance of drinking water in your diet. And as we’ve been asked for some good skin care tips we thought we’d offer a few tips. One actually.

Now of course there are some excellent skin care products available, and we personally believe that the best skin care tip is to use Xtend Life natural skin care products. However as well as using good skin care products there are other things that you can do to improve your chances of having youthful looking healthy skin.

We’ve talked about the importance of your diet. You need to be eating plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables along with those other less healthy things in your diet to increase your intake of vitamins, minerals, fatty acids and other important substances found in plants to increase the overall health of your skin.

And we’ve talked about the importance of exercise to your skin health. It does a number of things that are very beneficial to your skin, like improving your blood circulation.

And both an improvement in diet and more exercise are great skin care tips, because they improve your overall health whilst improving your skin health too.

However here’s today’s number 1 skin care tip. Water.

Firstly it’s important to drink enough water. Some suggest 8 glasses a day. Whilst we don’t subscribe to the counting method you ought to be including regular glasses of water to your daily routine. Skin hydration is very important, and whilst water isn’t the only factor in skin hydration, it’s very important. Drinking enough water every day is important to your skin health.

And we offer water as our skin care tip for the day for a particular reason.

Everyone seems to think that it’s important to drink bottled water now. Sales of bottled water have skyrocketed over the last few years, and it seems that everyone needs to be seen with that brand name bottle of water.

We personally haven’t been so taken by the bottled water craze, preferring regular old water, after hearing a number of reports that many bottled waters are no better, or worse, than water taken from the faucet.

Here’s a study you might find interesting. Find it here, a study on bottled water by the Environment Working Group.

This study found contaminants in EVERY brand of bottled water tested. Some contaminants exceeded state limits on contaminants in bottled water. Bottled water contained, on average, 8 different chemicals.

And they point out that although you’re paying up to 1900 times the price for bottled water it may be no better for you than water from the hose.

That’s not to say tap water is perfect of course, but it sounds like bottled water is no better.

So, skin care tip for the day? Drink plenty of water, and don’t drink bottled water.

For up to 1900 times the price stick with normal water and save your money.
