We’ve talked about chemicals in cosmetics and skin care products, what about chemicals in natural skin care products?

There’s all sorts of unnatural chemicals in mainstream big brand name skincare products, and we’ve talked about some of them on our page about dangerous ingredients in skin care products.

And some of them can be quite worrying.

And we’ve also talked about natural skin care products, and how important it is to avoid nasty chemical ingredients in skin care products by buying natural skin care products that are made from naturally occurring ingredients that are known to be safe for human consumption.

As well we’ve said that we believe that the products of Xtend Life are the best, most effective, and safest natural skin care products in the world.

So why is it that when you look on the label of Xtend Life products you see chemicals listed there?

Here’s why. There’s something called the “International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients”.

It’s called the INCI for short.

It’s a way of standardizing naming of cosmetic ingredients by use of their chemical names. And Xtend Life conforms to the standard of the INCI. International law requires that ingredients are named according to the INCI name.

Here’s an example. We’ve mentioned Shea Butter before, it’s the oil from the nut of the Shea tree in Africa and is used widely there as a cooking oil, but is also a fantastic natural moisturizer.

But it isn’t called Shea Butter on the labels, it’s INCI name is Butyrospermum Parkii.

There’s lots of other examples, but we’re sure you see the point. So when you look on the label of an Xtend Life skin care product and see all sorts of strange chemical sounding ingredients you know why.
