Have you ever heard of dry skin exfoliation?

Hmmm, dry skin exfoliation. What is that?

Maybe you’ve read about dry skin exfoliation. Maybe someone has told you about it. But you may have no idea what dry skin exfoliation is. Lets have a look at dry skin exfoliation.

This refers to the use of a soft bristle brush, preferably using natural rather than artificial bristles, and using that brush to gently brush your skin to remove dead skin cells from the outer layer of your skin. Exfoliating your skin is said to have a number of benefits.

And it’s said anyone who practices dry skin exfoliation will benefit. Whatever skin type you have, be it dry skin, sensitive or oily skin or any other skin type, we all get those dead skin cells to exfoliate.

You need a good skin brush. Or a good loofah or an exfoliating glove. And you can get exfoliating cleansers as well, which are abrasive so as to help remove those deal cells. As it’s possible to get exfoliating cleansers for different skin types you might want to choose a suitable one if you already have dry skin. You can get exfoliating cleansers in microdermabrasion kits too, but it probably isn’t necessary to go that far.

You start at your feet and brush in small circular strokes on all the skin you can reach, working your way right up to your face. Brush gently, and you’ll remove that layer of dead skin cells that dulls the look of your skin. And it feels good too.

And it helps the blood to circulate a little better, and better blood circulation also helps your skin. And it’s also said that it helps the lymph move better too.

And many maintain that you should always finish your exfoliation with a good moisturizer too. As exfoliating can leave your skin dry, that’s well worthwhile.

If you do it in the morning before you shower it doesn’t take long. Maybe do it in the shower berore hand and then just turn the shower on. Read the rest of this entry

Got sensitive skin? There’s some simple steps you can take to sensitive skin care.

Some people have sensitive skin, some don’t. And there are some people with sensitive skin that needn’t have sensitive skin.

If you have the symptoms associated with sensitive skin like rashes, blotchiness, redness, swelling, dryness and itchiness and more, then there is some things you can do.

Of course it may always be worthwhile seeing a dermatologist, but before you consult an expert you can try out some, or all of these remedies. Let science wait till you’ve tried some basic stuff to see if your skin conditions improve.

Sensitive skin care starts with an examination of your cosmetics and skin care products. Believe it or not, many big brand cosmetics and skin care products and anti aging products like creams, face masks and so on, can themselves CAUSE the problems that people with sensitive skin blame on their skin type, not on the products.

You’ll know if you’ve read our site that we’ve warned often about the dangerous ingredients often found in big brand name skin care products like moisturizers, face creams and other skin care treatments and anti wrinkle creams.

Ingredients like parabens, which are used extensively in big brand skin care products as a preservative, can be dangerous. For example the cosmetics database lists 2 parabens (parabens refers to a group of chemicals, not one) as, on a scale of 1 – 10 of hazard, as being at least a 7 or an 8. Ie, in their words, “high hazard”.

And a chemical like a paraben can itself cause skin reactions. So, ironically, the very products that you are using may well be causing your skin problems.

And this applies to your cosmetics as well. Many big brand cosmetics include similar or the same ingredients, and you may well find that if you change your cosmetic brand to a natural non allergenic cosmetic brand many, or all, of your sensitive skin problems go away.

The writer of this article has direct experience of this. My 8 year old daughter had to use cosmetics for her first ballet performance recently. Not something that an 8 year old would normally use, but she did that day.

Within a few hours her entire face had broken out in a rash, and we decided right there not to use those cosmetics again.

So examine your current skin care products carefully. If they are big brand name products from the department store we can just about guarantee that they contain ingredients that are not good for sensitive skin.

Use low allergenic laundry detergents too. There are many detergents that also contain ingredients that may cause skin reactions in people with all sorts of skin types. In particular wash sheets and pillow cases with low or non allergenic detergents. Rinse well and avoid any detergents, as well as skin care products and cosmetics, with fragrances.

Fragrances are also chemicals and can also cause skin reactions, for all skin types, including those with oily skin and healthy skin.

And visit an allergy specialist, they can often determine exactly what it is that is causing a skin allergy or allergic reaction, and if you can isolate what it is then you can try and eliminate that ingredient. It may well be from your skin care products or cosmetics.

You need to source a range of non allergenic range of both natural cosmetics and natural anti aging skin care products.

Luckily it also turns out that the companies that make the best natural cosmetics and natural anti aging skin care products also make the best products. They are small niche companies making excellent products, and at very competitive prices too.

That’s because they don’t even try and compete with the big brand name skin care and anti aging products. They don’t advertise on TV which contributes hugely to keeping the cost of their products down. They rely largely on the quality of their products to sell their products for them through word of mouth.

And they make stunningly good products too, unlike the big brand names. Most of the big brand name skin care products including sensitive skin care products do very little and are made down to a price rather than up to a standard.

So there’s a few things for you to do if you have sensitive skin and are looking for some good sensitive skin care tips. If these don’t work then try consulting an expert like a dermatologist, but for many people with skin problems just doing these things will clear up those nasty rashes and blotches and redness and itchiness.

Where do you get the best natural cosmetics? Here.

Try either, or both, it could be the best thing you can do for your skin.
